we exist at the overlap

overlap dallas is an experiment in urban connection, born from the belief that a city is only as vibrant as the strangers who choose to speak.

the problem

urban loneliness.

dallas is growing, but our circles are shrinking. despite the density, we live in curated silos. urban loneliness isn't just about being alone; it's about being surrounded by people you'll never know.

our solution

the urban wayfinder.

we build tools that force serendipity. by identifying physical "spots" where subcultures overlap, we create a map of permission—giving you a reason to stop, stay, and say hello.

radically welcoming.

forget velvet ropes, networking pressure, and exclusive guest lists. we build spaces that strip away the awkwardness of saying hello, replacing the cold city shoulder with a genuine invitation to jump in and connect.

how it started.

it began in bishop arts with a single orange table and one question: "what's something dallas doesn't know about you?"

we thought it was just a weekend social experiment, but it sparked a movement. it turns out, people aren't anti-social — they're just waiting for an invitation to connect.

overlap dallas is that invitation. now, we're building a physical network to find the cracks in our city's grid and filling them with real community.
